Working a few hours at the Fishers Freedom Festival this June is a GREAT way to offset upcoming 2015 RCG fees. Students and parents alike can register online at https://2015fishfree.my-trs.com for parking, trash removal and bathroom/port-a-let clean-up jobs that pay into your RCG account. Take advantage of this great opportunity to get your student personally involved in reducing their band fees. Sign up now to secure the best time slot for you and your student.

RCG Uniforms

Have You Been Fitted For A Blue and Black RCG Uniform?

All fittings need to be completed by May 29th at the very latest.

Your student was probably seen by someone in March during band class for a "fitting" which just consisted of measurements taken. Those measurements were for NEW uniforms only and don't apply now since we will be using our current uniforms this season.

If you have not yet made your appointment to be fitted in a blue and black uniform, please contact Mrs. Grosso right away at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

A fitting usually takes about 30 minutes per student and will take place in the uniform room (which is inside the band room) at the Main Campus of HSE HS.

For uniform appointments, please contact Mrs. Grosso at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

HSEHS Graduation
Tuesday, 19 May 2015 08:33

Commencement is Saturday, June 6th

The Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will be performing at Commencement this year. It will be on Saturday, June 6th at Indiana Farmers Coliseum at the State Fairgrounds. This “Graduation Ensemble” is comprised of all non seniors in 2014-2015 Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble. This performance is part of the curriculum and is treated as the performance/playing portion of the semester final exam. Students who DO NOT perform at Graduation will perform a Playing Exam. (Please have your student speak to the directors if they are NOT going to participate at Graduation)

Chaperones are also needed and you will have received an e-mail from Rita Keeling about that.

** As of May 22nd, there are still two chaperones needed for Commencement.  You can sign up at this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/508044baba92da31-chaperones2

Attached you will find student graduation information and chaperone information which both include the day's schedule and also the graduation waiver students not playing at graduation will need to turn in to their directors.

Chaperones Needed
Friday, 22 May 2015 11:46

Chaperones needed for first week of RCG practice (June 8th-June 11th).

It’s that time of year when we are looking for volunteers to chaperone the marching band practices.  There will be LOTS of opportunities for ALL parents to chaperone throughout the season but I am asking that the first week, be covered by our “seasoned” chaperones. If you chaperoned for marching band practice last year, I’d love to have your help this first week.  I have created a “Sign Up Genius” link with the time slots available. I have broken down each practice into two time slots. If you would like both time slots on a given day, by all means, go ahead and sign up for both. Your background check must be up to date. If you are not sure, please contact me. https://www.signupgenius.com/index.cfm?go=w.ProcessCreate7&requesttimeout=360

For the new parents: If you would like an easy, fun way to get involved with the marching band this year, please consider chaperoning at a practice, football game or a competition. This includes keeping them safe, providing light first aid (no CPR certification required) and riding the buses to and from events.  I will have a few quick "training sessions" (dates still TBD) to show you where we keep all of the first aid supplies and items needed for practices and competitions. You are welcome to have younger siblings with you while you chaperone.  I will have more information available at the “First Night Parent Fair” which will be held during the first full marching band practice on Monday, June 8th. To chaperone, you will need to have a current background check on file and have watched the anti-bullying webinar. Background checks will take up to a week to be processed. Attached is the information regarding the requirement. Please direct any questions to Rita Keeling at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
